Letter re Road Construction

Dear Neighbors:

At the February meeting of the Board of Commissioners, the Board awarded a contract to Ply-Mar Construction Company, Plymouth Meeting, to renovate the Flourtown Country Club parking lot.

In summary, the project includes re-alignment of Chestnut Lane and McCloskey Road to create a true intersection, construction of traffic islands within the parking lot, and resurfacing of the lot. On February 28, the contractor informed us of his interest to begin the project on Monday, March 3.

For the duration of the project, the Chestnut Lane entrance to the Country Club will be closed to all traffic, except for emergency vehicles. Emergency vehicles will also be restricted when the road work actually takes place on Chestnut Lane.

The parking lot project is scheduled to be completed by Memorial Day weekend. If you have a specific question or issue during construction, please call James Donofry, Township Inspector, at 215-836-7600.
